Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 7, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how YBuffet Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on ybuffet.com. This Policy applies globally and incorporates region-specific requirements, including the EU's ePrivacy Directive and GDPR.
Important for EU/EEA/UK users: We will NOT place non-essential cookies on your device without your explicit, prior consent. You will be presented with a cookie consent banner when you first visit the Platform. You can change your preferences at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at grow@ybuffet.com.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use the site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and fingerprinting, all of which we refer to collectively as 'cookies' in this Policy.
2. Cookie Categories and Consent Requirements
We categorize cookies by purpose and by whether they require consent:
3. GDPR / ePrivacy Compliance for EU/EEA/UK Users
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (implemented by member states as the 'Cookie Law') and GDPR, we require your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device. This means:
We present a cookie consent banner on your first visit
Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent as they are essential for the Platform to function
All other cookie categories require affirmative action (clicking 'Accept') before activation
Pre-ticked boxes and implied consent from continued browsing do NOT constitute valid GDPR consent
You can withdraw consent at any time with no adverse consequences
Refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the Platform
Consent is recorded with a timestamp and version number. You may request a record of your consent by contacting grow@ybuffet.com.
4. Our Cookie Partners
The following table lists our current cookie and tracking partners, what data they access, and how you can opt out. This list is updated when we add or remove partners (30 days notice for material changes).
5. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
YBuffet recognizes and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as required under California's CPRA. If your browser or device sends a GPC signal when you visit ybuffet.com, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How to enable GPC: GPC is supported by Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo, and extensions like Privacy Badger. Visit globalprivacycontrol.org for compatible tools.
GPC and third parties: While YBuffet honors your GPC signal in its own practices, we cannot guarantee that all third-party services will automatically recognize GPC. We recommend also using the opt-out links in the Partner Table.
6. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. YBuffet does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no industry-standard protocol. We disclose this as required by California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). You can manage tracking preferences through our Cookie Preference Center and GPC as described above.
7. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Cookie Preference Center: manage non-essential cookie settings through your browser settings or by contacting us at grow@ybuffet.com
Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their privacy settings
Third-party opt-outs: use the opt-out links in the Partner Table in Section 4
GPC signal: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser as described in Section 5
EU/EEA/UK users: withdraw consent at any time via the Preference Center with immediate effect
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled while using the Platform.
8. Cookie Retention
Cookies are retained for varying periods depending on their purpose:
Strictly necessary cookies (e.g., session cookies) expire when your browser session ends or within 24 hours, whichever is shorter.
Functional cookies (e.g., language and preference cookies) are retained for up to 12 months from the date they are set.
Analytics cookies are retained for up to 26 months, in line with standard analytics retention periods.
Marketing and advertising cookies are retained for up to 13 months.
When a cookie expires, it is automatically deleted from your device. If you return to the Platform after a cookie has expired, a new cookie will be set subject to your consent preferences (for non-essential cookies). You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, which will also remove any associated data stored on your device.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including to reflect new cookie partners or technologies. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes. The Partner Table in Section 4 will be updated as partners are added or removed. EU/EEA/UK users will be asked to provide fresh consent for any new non-essential cookie categories.
